Acupuncture and therapy in Aarhus – in English

Living and working in Aarhus, but more at ease in English when it comes to your health? I help with the things that don't go away by themselves – stress, poor sleep, pain, headaches and the tension that builds up in a busy life. I combine acupuncture, nervous system work and conversation, and sessions are in English, German or Danish.

Clinic since 2011 · RAB-registered acupuncturist · Often covered by your work health insurance

"She doesn't just treat symptoms; she really gets to the heart of your concerns." – Vanessa, 51

Lisa Beuschau, acupuncturist and life coach in Aarhus

What I help with

Stress and burnout

When work and life keep you in overdrive, and you can't switch off – even when you finally have time to rest. Acupuncture and vagus nerve stimulation help your nervous system shift back into calm.

Sleep problems

Trouble falling asleep, waking at 3 a.m., or waking up tired. We look at what keeps your body on alert at night – and treat it.

Neck, back and shoulder pain

The tension that comes with long days at a desk, stress or old injuries. Acupuncture works locally on the pain and on the nervous system that keeps it going.

Headaches and migraines

Tension headaches, migraines and headaches linked to stress, sleep, your jaw or hormones.

I also help with

  • Hormones and menopause – PMS, irregular cycles, PMOS (PCOS), perimenopause and hot flushes
  • Fertility and pregnancy – on its own or alongside IVF, for women and men, and throughout pregnancy and after birth
  • Trauma – when something that happened still lives in your body. You don't have to talk about what happened.
  • Long-term pain – including pain where scans show nothing
  • Life coaching – when you're at a crossroads in your work, your relationships or your life
  • Fear of flying – a short programme of three sessions to help your body stay calm on board

How I work

I don't start with the method – I start with you. In the first session we look at the whole picture: your body, your nervous system and the life you're living. Then I choose what fits: acupuncture, vagus nerve stimulation (a gentle, needle-free treatment through the ear), ear acupuncture, trauma work, coaching, or a combination.

You'll also get concrete, realistic advice on sleep, food and daily habits – small steps that actually stick. I've written a book about it: The 1-Minute Method.

What clients say

What clients say

Menopause and stress

I cannot recommend Lisa highly enough. She is truly brilliant at what she does. Her depth of knowledge about the body, the brain, and traditional Chinese medicine along with her understanding of nutrition is incredibly impressive.

Lisa supported me in so many ways through menopausal symptoms and stress, and her holistic approach made a real difference in my overall wellbeing. She doesn't just treat symptoms; she really gets to the heart of your concerns and tailors her care with great thought and precision.

What makes her even more special is her warmth and genuine presence. She is a very good listener and creates such a safe, supportive space. I always felt truly heard, cared for, and understood.

If you are looking for someone deeply knowledgeable, compassionate, and thorough, Lisa is exceptional. I'm so grateful to have found her.

Vanessa, 51

Pain (Translated from Danish)

I came to Lisa with pain and knots in my shoulder and back that radiated down my arm. After three treatments the pain was completely gone.

Christina, 50
